BAL ONIRIQUE.... MMXII...

... a música antes de todas as coisas ou a alegoria à profundidade do tempo... imersos por inteiro numa completa fuga do mundo....

O zamumo dos Bal Onirique remota algures para uma das noites de 2005 onde P.A (voz), David Reis (guitarra) e Francisco (baixo) emergem para dar Expressão corpea ao seu dialogo-monologo interior. Na visão juntam-se-lhes Alberto (bateria) e mais tarde Jorge (Guitarra). Assim se inicia uma viagem entre o sagrado e o profano, num misto fragmentário de ódios, paixões, erotismo, loucura, amor e morte, influenciados por momentos e reflexos aqui e ali pintados com a paleta simbólica fin de siécle e reminiscências orientalistas.

Jádis et Naguère surge como a primeira das musicas assumida pela banda vincando assim a hereditariedade do velho Goth Rock nos fragmentos que se avizinhavam.

Neste contexto é editada a k7 em 2006 “Nadja Surround” contendo os primeiros 4 temas de originais. Em 2007 lançam o cd single (edição limitada de autor) Jádis et Naguère/Slow Lane e ao mesmo tempo é criada a newsletter online UnMasked com uma periocidade trimestral. A UnMasked vive de perto a vida da banda e assim desmistifica todas as interrogações e ao mesmo tempo transmite todos os ecos resultantes das criações no Bal.room (sala de ensaios).
Em 2008, e após a saída de Jorge, os Bal Onirique materializam de uma forma mais profunda as suas concepções artísticas e assim nascem temas como “Samassana”, “Lovers Suicide” e “Perfume River” ou até mesmo a versão “Falling” (original de Angelo Badalamenti) criando assim o espectro perfeito para a futura realização de dois concertos únicos e simbólicos designados como “Bal Onirique... ou o Outono do corpo” no Porto (Maus Hábitos) e Lisboa (Santiago Alquimista) em 2008 e 2009. Estes concertos tiveram como convidado especial David R (Phantom Vision e In Tempus) na guitarra e teclados.

Por esta altura gravam “Elixir Rubeus”, “Morrer... Dormir... Sonhar... Amar... Talvez...!!!” e “Lovers Suicide” no Divergências Studios (Quinta do Conde – Setúbal) com a produção de David R que colabora também directamente nos temas.

Hoje os Bal Onirique são constituídos por (após a banda ter decidido libertar Alberto do projecto):

Depois de sucessivos avatares tomarem forma como agentes de um despertar iniciático, elevando e trazendo correspondências de um caminho preenchido de arquétipos “durgicos” que desde a dança nua dos sentidos à origem do opium-eter das memorias mais arcaicas, a integridade do corpo abissal e amante até à manifestação prosaica dos gestos transformaram o universo Bal Onirique (outrora evocando paisagens interiores e circunscritas à própria consciência imaginaria) num conjunto de novos temas carregados de simbolismo e ambiguidade nos quais os Bal Onirique pretendem apresentar brevemente uma tour com vários artistas convidados e que culminará com o tão esperado longa duração que há muito reclamam os seguidores e fans da banda.

Este longa duração terá uma pré-apresentação nos inícios de 2012 através de um 7'' em vinil de edição limitada de 200 cópias pela editora Old Tree contendo “Eixir Rubeus” e “Morrer... Dormir... Sonhar... Amar... Talvez...!!!”.

The origins of Bal Onirique started somewhere on a night in 2005 where P.A (vocals), David Reis (guitar) and Francisco (bass) emerged to give corporeal expression to their inner dialogue-monologue. Their vision is joined by Alberto (drums) and later on by Jorge (guitar). Thus begins a journey between the sacred and profane, in a fragmented mixture of hates, passions, eroticism, insanity, love and death, influenced by moments and reflections painted here and there with a symbolic fin de siècle palette and oriental reminiscences.

“Jádis et Naguère” appears as the first song acknowledged by the band underlining the heritage of old Goth Rock in the forthcoming fragments. In this context, the demo-tape, “Nadja Surround”, is edited in 2006, containing the first 4 original songs. In 2007 they launched the CD single (author’s limited edition) “Jádis et Naguère/Slow Lane” and at the same time an online newsletter is created, UnMasked, with a quaterly interval. UnMasked lives closely the band's life and demystifies all questions and at the same time broadcasts all the echoes resulting from the Bal.room (rehearsal room) creations.

In 2008, and after Jorge left, Bal Onirique materialised in a profound manner its artistic conceptions and songs like “Samassana”, “Lovers Suicide” and “Perfume River” were born or even the version of “Falling” (original of Angelo Badalamenti) creating a perfect spectrum for the future realization of two unique and symbolic concerts designated as “Bal Onirique... ou o Outono do corpo” (“Bal Onirique… or the Body’s Autumn”) at Porto (Maus Hábitos) and Lisbon (Santiago Alquimista) in 2008 and 2009. These concerts had as a special guest David R (Phantom Vision and In Tempus) on guitar and keyboards.

At this time they record “Elixir Rubeus”, “Morrer... Dormir... Sonhar... Amar... Talvez...!!!” and “Lovers Suicide” at Divergências Studios (Quinta do Conde – Setúbal) with the production of David R which who also collaborates directly on the songs.

After successive avatars gained form as agents of an initial awakening, elevating and bringing connections of a fulfilled path of Durga archetypes which from the naked dance of the senses to the origin of opium-ether of the most archaic memories, the integrity of the abyssal body and lover until the prosaic manifestation of gestures transformed the Bal Onirique universe (once evoking interior and limited landscapes of an imaginary conscious) in a set of new songs charged with symbolism and ambiguity which Bal Onirique aim to present soon on tour with various invited artists and which will culminate with the long awaited album which followers and fans of the band have wanted.

This album will have a pre-presentation in the beginning of 2012 via a 7'' as a limited edition vinyl of 200 copies from the Old Tree publisher containing “Elixir Rubeus” and “Morrer... Dormir... Sonhar... Amar... Talvez...!!!”.
